2024 HOSPICE VAUGHAN HEARTS GALA PRESENTED BY

On Friday, February 9th 2024, we celebrated a beautiful evening of Life, Love and Legacy- all things we celebrate every day at Hospice Vaughan. This year we honoured a man whose own love and compassion for his community fueled the vision of Hospice Vaughan, Alexander Muzzo. With the support of our incredible sponsors, 1300 event attendees, community that supported through raffle ticket purchases and online auction sales, we raised a RECORD-BREAKING $1,175,000!

Every dollar raised from the 2024 Hearts Gala stays in the Vaughan community, ensuring that Hospice Vaughan can continue to provide compassionate support to those living with a life-limiting illness, caring for a loved one or coping with grief and bereavement. Events like the Hearts Gala raise critical funds, ensuring that all of our programs and services, including our 12-bed residence, remain free of charge. Alexander Muzzo

Alexander Muzzo was a man who dreamed big and who loved big. If you were fortunate to be a part of his world you knew this well. At Hospice Vaughan we consider ourselves amongst the fortunate ones. In 2016, Alex Muzzo, driven by a deep love for his community and the knowledge of the critical need for compassionate, end of life care brought together a community of philanthropists to dream big and raise the seed funding for Vaughan’s first and only residential hospice palliative care centre. That dream is now a reality. On February 9th, we invite you to join us as we celebrate Hospice Vaughan and the beautiful life and legacy of Alex Muzzo.
