FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – The Board of Directors of Hospice Vaughan are pleased to announce that Eddy Burello, Sue Douglas, Lisa Rotstein, and Gary Sangha were officially elected to the Board for an initial 3-year term at the Annual General Meeting held Monday, Sept. 27, 2021.

Eddy is Business Advisor and Partner with MNP in Toronto. Drawing on 35 years of experience in public accounting, specializing in advising privately held companies in the real estate sector. Eddy has been a resident of Vaughan for 30 years and is honored to serve the community.

Sue is the founder and President of Vital Management Solution, aligning human resource solutions with business strategies. Her philosophy is “HR is not a department – it’s how you treat people.” Sue is an avid
golfer, (but not a good one) a voracious reader and the proud mother of 3 boys.

Lisa is a Gerontologist with a Long-Term Care Senior Management Designation. She established Gerontology Solutions Inc 9 years ago, specializing in, efficiencies in staffing models, elder care model reviews, employee wellness and is passionate about mental health across the aging spectrum. Lisa is a Thornhill/Vaughan resident along with her husband, their 4 children and family dog, Ringo.

Gary has dedicated his life to public service personally and professionally. As a public servant and long-time resident of the City of Vaughan, Gary believes that giving back is an important part of his role within the community. Gary enjoys hiking, cycling, reading, and spending time with his family.

The following directors were elected to the newly constituted Board to form the executive: Louie Chiaino – Chair, Robert Corridore – Vice-Chair, Adriano Tommasino – Treasurer and Vicki Moretti – Secretary. Louie Chiaino, our in-coming Chair has been a Director for 6 years and most recently Secretary of the Board of Directors.

The Hospice Vaughan Board of Directors extends our heartfelt thanks and acknowledges the efforts and commitment of the following Directors who have completed their terms of office, Renata Rizzardi (former Chair), Nick Angellotti (former Treasurer) and Directors Dina Palozzi and Deryn Rizzi.

ABOUT HOSPICE VAUGHAN
Since 1995, Hospice Vaughan, a not-for-profit organization, has been providing compassionate support to individuals facing a life-limiting illness or the loss of a loved one. In May 2021, the Hospice Vaughan – Mario & Nick Cortellucci Hospice Palliative Care Centre of Excellence was opened consisting of a 10-bed residence and a state-of-the-art hub for palliative care, the first healthcare facility of its kind in Vaughan. Our community care programs and services continue to expand extending support to caregivers, family members and friends who are impacted by grief as a result of the loss of a loved one. All our programs and services are free of charge for the individuals with only partial government funding.
