Vaughan, November 15, 2019 – A cookie that is making a difference in the community, is a cookie everyone wants to eat. Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign has been providing smiles to communities across Canada for over 23 years. The 2019 Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign raised a record $9.8M in just one week for 550 charities, hospitals and community groups across Canada.

For a second year in a row, 56 Tim Hortons stores backed by 15 local owners “in and around Vaughan” garnered their efforts together to bring much-needed money for Hospice Vaughan. Staff and Volunteers at Hospice Vaughan were all smiles today as they proudly accepted the donation from this year’s Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign. Hospice Vaughan is grateful to Tim Hortons for receiving $85,364 to support the capital campaign going towards Hospice Vaughan – Mario & Nick Cortellucci Hospice Palliative Care Centre of Excellence.

“Thank you to everyone who purchased Smile Cookies, you truly showed the power of a community coming together to support a great cause. You were not only enjoying a cookie, you are helping Hospice Vaughan realize its dream of opening up its new 10-bed Hospice palliative care centre in the Vaughan community”, said Belinda Marchese, Executive Director of Hospice Vaughan.
